What makes EdZapp different?

EdZapp was the first, and remains the ONLY system who can legitimately claim to provide a truly paperless application process from job posting through hire for districts.

Many systems allow you to post job advertisements on the web, some allow applicants to complete basic information online, several allow those applicants to also upload documents to associate with their application, and a few put all three of these pieces together. EdZapp goes much further: we allow FULL job posting and response management capability, dynamically-generated applications that may be adapted for any position type or job posting, and we receive applicant documents in ANY electronic or hardcopy format via email, web, or postal mail from ANY source (including universities, letter-writers, and background checking agencies). If you are using a paperless system now, why are there still so many paper application documents to manage? Does your paperless system require you to receive, prep, scan, and index the documents yourself? EdZapp has cracked the code to reveal that most online applications are not in fact paperless, and provided a solution that is Truly Paperless.

EdZapp was the first, and remains the ONLY system to offer a state-wide applicant pool while allowing for each district to maintain its own applicant forms, requirements, and questions.

State/Province-wide applicant pools make a lot of sense to decision-makers who don't deal with life at the district and school levels, and certainly applicants appreciate the time-saving convenience of having a single application to complete. Nevertheless, each district has its own practices and preferences, making a standardized single application of limited value for the actual screening and selection process. And what about support staff, administrators, and coaches who may not be interested in filling out a Statewide Teacher Application? EdZapp's unique system architecture allows each district to set up its own site, complete with their own district masthead and color scheme, custom applications for all job types and positions, and specific questions and downloadable forms created by the district itself. EdZapp is not unique in doing one or two of these things, but no one else does ALL of them.

EdZapp was the first, and remains the ONLY system who allows districts to create and modify their own internal tracking process and custom forms without the need for a programmer.

Systems are complex, and programming changes make systems unstable. Yet, as we have learned through our over 50 years of collective experience in application development, the customization process extends long after the initial system implementation: applications evolve. Through the Administration graphical user interface, the district can add, change and delete application modules quickly and easily without requiring a system upgrade or costly code revisions. Moreover and this is where EdZapp is truly unique from any other product, EdZapp's innovative data architecture allows the creation of new objects without disrupting the stability of the application. The same tool that moves these modules also enables the creation of custom lookup tables/fields, search filters, queries, tracking and hiring forms, data views, new users and roles, and much more. EdZapp allows the ENTIRE application to be customized in-house by the district without requiring a programmer! Neither do these customizations require intervention or approval from EdZapp as a system enhancement, as they remain unique to your district. Over time, this will save your district tens of thousands of dollars in custom programming and improve the responsiveness and timeliness of your evolving changes.

EdZapp was the first, and remains the ONLY system who verifies the authenticity of documents received and controls the accessibility of confidential documents such as placement files and letters of reference.

We receive thousands of documents in our Document Management Service Centers each year from hundreds of different sources. Each and every document undergoes a five-point review process to affirm its authenticity, and those documents that met our criteria are clearly marked with an icon to distinguish it from the other files that were also scanned but did not meet all criteria requirements. In addition, we assume ALL letters of reference, closed placement files, and district forms that we receive are confidential, and are therefore available only to district reviewers (not the applicant). All authenticated documents are scanned images of actual original documents not re-keyed information or photocopies. As a result, you have assurance that the documents are reliable, available, and secure, without having to deal with the hassle and expense of receiving, reviewing, and filing/scanning them at your district office.
